Our work

Four programmes, run all year

We keep our portfolio deliberately narrow so we can report honestly on every pound. Zakat eligible work is marked.

Clean water wells

Sadaqah funded

Clean water wells

Millions of families still collect water from open sources that make their children sick. A single hand pump changes the shape of a whole village day: girls go back to school, mothers get their mornings back, and waterborne illness falls sharply.

Your Sadaqah funds the survey, the drilling, the pump and the community training that keeps it working for years. Wells built as Sadaqah Jariyah continue to earn reward long after the donation is made.

Orphan sponsorship

Orphan sponsorship

Sponsorship is steady, predictable support. It pays for schooling, uniforms, books, a monthly food package and access to healthcare, delivered through the child's own family or guardian so they stay in the community they know.

Orphan sponsorship can be given from your Zakat where the household qualifies as poor or needy, which is the case for the overwhelming majority of the children on our programme.

Emergency food parcels

Zakat eligible

Emergency food parcels

A standard parcel carries flour, rice, lentils, oil, sugar and tea: roughly one month of cooking for a family of five. Parcels are bought locally wherever markets are working, which supports local traders and gets food moving faster.

Food distribution to poor and needy families is Zakat eligible.

Emergency response

When disaster hits, the first seventy two hours decide a great deal. Our emergency fund lets us move shelter kits, blankets, clean water and medical supplies before an appeal has even been launched.

Emergency relief for displaced and destitute families is Zakat eligible.
